Glomerulonephritis Treatment

Comprehensive Glomerular Disorder Care

Glomerulonephritis (GN) refers to inflammation of the glomeruli—the microscopic structures of blood vessels within the kidneys that act as filters. When inflamed or damaged, these filters fail to clear metabolic waste effectively, allowing blood cells and protein to leak into the urine. This leads to swelling (edema) in the face and limbs, elevated blood pressure, and progressive kidney damage. GN can occur suddenly (acute) or develop silently over years (chronic), and is often triggered by immune responses, systemic diseases (like Lupus), or infections.

Dr. Priyash Tambi offers advanced diagnostics and personalized treatment protocols for various forms of glomerulonephritis. We arrange for kidney biopsy procedures when needed to obtain an exact tissue diagnosis, allowing us to select targeted medications that direct therapy at the precise disease pathway.

Our Glomerular Care & Treatments Include:

  • Evaluation and treatment of Nephrotic Syndrome (severe protein leak, edema, and high lipids)
  • Management of Nephritic Syndrome (microscopic or gross hematuria, hypertension, and rising creatinine)
  • Diagnostic workup and coordination for safe ultrasound-guided Kidney Biopsy
  • Personalized immunosuppressive drug regimens (Corticosteroids, Tacrolimus, Cyclophosphamide, Rituximab)
  • Strict blood pressure management using RAS blockades to reduce glomerular stress
  • Long-term renal monitoring to prevent progression to chronic kidney failure

Protecting Your Kidneys from Scarring

Early clinical intervention is critical to stop inflammation before it results in permanent glomerulosclerosis (kidney scarring). We are dedicated to delivering timely immunomodulatory and supportive therapies, aimed at achieving remission and preserving your natural kidney function.
